                                            How to Remove Carpet Stains

Beer: Excited to drink, hold on! You might be surprised to find out that beer is a perfect stain remover. Be it your coffee, tea or those yellow oily stains, beer works. Just pour it lightly on the stained material and see the stains disappear. Repeat the process completely till the stain vanishes.

Corn Starch: Found some ink stains on the Carpet. Mix 1 spoon of corn starch in water and make it a thick paste. Spread the paste on the inked spot and leave it for few minutes. Slowly remove it and you will no longer see the ink marks on your carpet. Corn starch is also used for soaking up oil and greasy stains.

Shaving Cream: The juice stains on the carpet can be easily removed using shaving cream. Squirt some shaving cream on the affected area, wipe it with a dampen sponge or cloth in a few seconds. The change will be seen. It can also be used to deal with the oily and greasy stains.

Ammonia: NH4, the chemical name for Ammonia, can be used to lift out the stains on carpet and upholstery. Take 1/2 cup ammonia in 2 litres of warm water and stir properly. Sponge the material in the mix and allow it to dry completely. The chemical properties of Ammonia would have completely worked on these stains.

Vinegar: Vinegar is the most commonly used product and can be found in any household. Vinegar when mixed with baking soda works wonders to remove the stains. Sprinkle some vinegar on the stained area, pour a pinch of baking soda on it. Let the carpet or the stained material absorb the liquid and soda completely. You will immediately see some bubble formation, which is an indication of the chemical process going on. Repeat it till the stain vanishes completely. Tired of those grease stains? Pour some white vinegar on an old tooth brush or any soft brush. Scrub the stain and allow the material to dry. No more stains will be visible. Its guaranteed!

Baking Soda: Baking Soda can be quickly used to remove those vomit or urine stains from the carpet. Clean at the initial stage as much as it is possible, sprinkle some baking soda on the affected area. Pat it using paper towel and let it dry completely. Baking soda will clean, sanitize and deodorize the messy spot.

Tooth Brush: The soft tender brush is a great help in scrubbing as well as removing the stains. Sprinkle the stain removing agent on the tooth brush and rub on the stains gently till it is gone.

Ice Cubes: Haven’t heard of it as an anti-stain product? Try it out on those hard chewing gum that is trying to take permanent place on your carpet. Freeze the gums first with ice cubes in a plastic bag, scrape it off with a butter knife and blot with a dry cleaning fluid.
