In the piece entitled A thought for Ibinabo, Novia narrated how painful it is seeing his friend of 15-years been whisked to jail after a 10-years ordeal. Controversial filmmaker, Charles Novia and music producer cum singer, Paul Play Dairo have joined several fans in praying for incarcerated actress and president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ibinabo Fiberesima.

Following the judgement of an appeal court sitting in Lagos on Friday, March 11, 2016, there have been outpour of emotions from friends, colleagues, families and fans of the amiable Ibinabo Fiberesima. With the last words on her Facebook profile reading, Pray For Me, Nollywood filmaker, Charles Novia has written an emotional piece to show his sadness over Ibinabo's incarceration.
In the piece entitled A thought for Ibinabo, Novia narrated how painful it is seeing his friend of 15-years been whisked to jail after a 10-years ordeal.

"But we are a family in Nollywood; despite open spats. The bond artistes share is more than bloodlines. And for that, we must stand and share with our friend...Ibinabo....you will pull through this. You are a strong woman. A rare breed. You will be ok. And your friends will not abandon you. We will help you find your silver lining in all of this," he wrote.

On his part, Paul Play Dairo wrote, "I'm shocked to hear this story. What can we do to beg the victims family to forgive and let this go. It is difficult to let go but we are all prone to making dreadful mistakes. I pray God almighty give this family the succour to carry on and release the pain in their heart on this sad event. Let them look into this through the eyes of the Lord. It'll hard but the power to do so is in their hands. Pleased forgive. Because the freedom of the heart is gained through forgiveness. May God be with us all."
