I decided to go on trials for the last five days since I want to have articles on natural and homemade facial mask and scrubs. I would say it has really been intriguing. I will say we all have different skin types and what will work for me might not and might work for you. Do I will advice you try and see what works for you best....below I have listed most of my trials and how I felt after the experiment.
Aspirin Peel
Step 1
Place 6 to 12 non-coated adult aspirin into a small bowl. Mash the aspirin to a powder with the back of a spoon.
Step 2
Add freshly-squeezed lemon juice a few drops at a time until the mixture forms a paste. Allow the mixture to thicken for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 3
Wash your hands with soap and water, then use your fingers to apply the aspirin mixture to problem areas or blemishes. Leave the mixture on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 4
Fill a cup with warm water, then stir in a teaspoon of baking soda. Dip a cotton ball into the water and use to remove the aspirin mixture from your skin. Baking soda will neutralize the effects of the acid in the aspirin.
Step 5
Rinse your face with lukewarm water, then dry your skin with a soft towel. Apply your favorite moisturizer.
Citrus Peel
Step 1
Squeeze the juice of one lemon and one orange into a small bowl. Heat the citrus juice in the microwave until the mixture is hot but not boiling.
Step 2
Add one packet of unflavored gelatin. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved, then set the bowl aside until the mixture is comfortable to the touch.
Step 3
Spread the citrus mixture over your skin. Leave the mixture in place for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Step 4
Pat your skin dry, then apply your favorite moisturizer.
Cucumber, Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Green Tea And Gelatin Face Peel:
This at home face peel has lesser acidity content, suitable for sensitive skin. Also you can start with this facial peel to let your skin adjust to chemical peel treatments. Later you can go for higher acidity content. This soothing peel contains chamomile and green tea to soothe your skin and relieve puffiness. Aloe Vera nurtures and moisturizes your skin. Cucumber acts as a potent natural astringent that kills bacteria, tightens your skin and even out wrinkles and fine lines.
Step 1
Wash 1 small cucumber, peel it and remove the seeds. Cut the cucumber into small chunks and put them in a blender and blend them well. Strain the puree through a sieve or clean cloth to drain the liquid into a bowl and set it aside for later use.
Step 2
Make 1/2 cup each of chamomile tea and green tea, using boiling water and 2 teaspoons of each tea. Allow them to sit on low heat for few minutes until you have 1/4 cup of each, and then strain and mix them.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into a small pan and add in 1 small package of unflavored gelatin. Gently warm this concoction over low heat and stir it to dissolve the gelatin fully. When completely dissolved, add in the cucumber liquid and 1 tablespoon of aloe vera juice or gel and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Step 4
Allow the final mixture to cool down and place the bowl in a fridge until it becomes thickened, but still liquid enough to be applied.
Step 5
Apply the mixture gently and evenly on your cleaned face and neck, using a facial masks brush or spatula – avoiding your eyes and upper lip area.
Step 6
Lie down, relax and let the mask sit until it dries out.
Step 7
Remove the peel, starting under your chin and peeling it off in an upward motion – this will tickle a bit. Finish with rinsing it off with warm water and pat-drying your skin with a soft clean towel.
Papaya And Gelatin At Home Face Chemical Peel
This DIY Papaya Face Peel helps in removing dead skin cells, thanks to its enzyme papain content.
Step 1
Peel 1 fresh fully ripe papaya, remove its seeds and cut it in small chunks. Place these in a blender and blend them completely into a lumps free smooth paste. Strain this through a sieve and set it aside for later use.
Step 2
Pour 3-4 tablespoons of mineral water in a small pan and add in 1 package of unflavored gelatin. Gently warm this concoction over low heat and stir it to dissolve the gelatin fully. Pour this in a small bowl and add in papaya juice.
Step 3
Allow the final mixture to cool down and place the bowl in a fridge until it becomes thickened, but still liquid enough to be applied. This process will take about 25-30 minutes.
Step 4
Apply the mixture gently and evenly on your cleaned face and neck, using a facial masks brush or spatula and avoiding your eyes and upper lip area.
Step 5
Lie down, relax and let the mask sit until it dries out.
Step 6
Remove the peel, starting under your chin and peeling it off in an upward motion – this will tickle a bit. Finish with rinsing it off with lukewarm water and pat-drying your skin with a clean soft towel.
Tomato, Orange, Lime And Gelatin Homemade Chemical Face Peel Mask
This is the best face peel mask to reinstate your skin’s pH level. While orange and lime juice exfoliate, the gelatin facilitates to firm and tone up your skin. Tomato not only works to reinstate the natural pH balance of your skin, but is also a great natural treatment for blemishes and skin spots.
Step 1
Pour 1/2 cup of water, 1 table spoon each of fresh orange and lime juice in a small pan. Add in 1 package of unflavored gelatin into the pan. Gently warm the mixture over a low heat, while constantly stirring the mixture until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Peel a washed fully ripe tomato and puree it into a chunk-free pulp in a blender. Slowly add in and stir the tomato puree in the gelatin mixture.
Step 2
Allow the final mixture to cool down and place the bowl in a fridge until it becomes thickened, but still liquid enough to be applied. This process will take about 25 minutes.

Glycolic Acid Natural Facial Peel
Glycolic acid is natural derivative of sugar cane and a member of alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) family. It works as a gentle chemical exfoliant and is capable of penetrating and loosening the surface layer of skin, thereby helps easy removal of dead skin cells. A consistent topical application of glycolic acid can lighten skin spots and remove fine lines. Due to this characteristic, it is very often used in anti-aging skin care products. This acid is also commonly used in acne remedies, because of its mild drying effect and capability to cleanse out the skin pores.
Step 1
Pour 1/4 cup of white cane sugar into a mixing bowl. Avoid using large granule sugar, as it can graze or nick the skin.
Step 2
Slowly add in lemon juice, while stirring it until the mixture forms a uniform paste. Lemon juice has citric acid, a type of AHA. Mixing it with white cane sugar enhances the effectiveness of glycolic acid peel.
Step 3
With help of your fingertips dab the mask along T-zone and cheekbones. Apply the peel evenly onto your face and neck by using your fingertips in small circular motions. Start from the nose and move out toward your hairline, avoiding eyes.
Step 4
Allow the peel to sit for 15 minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Step 5
Finish with applying a mild facial moisturizer to save skin from glycolic acid’s mild drying effects.
Natural Beauty Tips.
Step 6
Glycolic acid peels may result into mild skin irritation, redness or some flaking. Discontinue its use, if such reactions get intense.
Step 7
You can keep white sugar and lemon juice mixture in a fridge for up to 4 days.
Papaya, Pineapple And Honey – Homemade Peel Face Mask
This mild fruit peel mask can easily be made at home with papaya, pineapple and organic honey. Whereas, pineapple and papaya contain natural enzymes and alpha hydroxyl acids that can shed off dead skin cells, the honey moisturizes your skin.
Step 1
Take 1/2 cup of pineapple and 1/4 cup of papaya, and blend them together, in a blender, into a fine paste. Add in 1/2 tablespoon of dark organic honey and mix all the natural ingredients thoroughly.
Step 2
Apply the mask over your cleansed face and neck using your fingertips, avoiding eyes.
Step 3
Lie down and relax, leaving the mask on for about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Rinse of the mask with alternatively cold and lukewarm water first, and then with a splash of cold water. Pat dry your skin with a clean soft towel. If you feel your skin dry then apply a mild moisturizer to seal in the moisture inside.
Strawberries, Grape Juice, Honey And Yogurt At Home Face Peel
This chemical face peel uses natural acids that are derived from fruits to exfoliate the skin. Whereas, yogurt soothes, the honey make your skin feeling soft and silky smooth.
Step 1
Put 1/4 cup each of fresh organic strawberries and fresh sour grapes in a blender, and blend them into a lump-free smooth paste and keep it aside.
Step 2
Warm up 1 tablespoon of dark organic honey in a small heating bowl that is immersed in hot water (or a few seconds in a microwave), until it gets runny. Make it sure that honey doesn’t get too hot.
Step 3
Mix the strawberries and sour grapes paste with honey and add in 2 tablespoons of plain unflavored yogurt. Mix all the natural ingredients to make a fine smooth paste.
Step 4
Apply the mixture gently and evenly on your cleaned face and neck, using a facial mask brush or spatula and avoiding your eyes.
Step 5
Lie down, relax and let the mask sit for about 20 minutes.
Step 6
Rinse of the mask with lukewarm water first, and then end with a splash of cold water. Pat dry your skin with a clean soft towel.
Natural Beauty Tips
(a) In case of super sensitive skin, try replacing use of lemon juice with water.
(b) Do not indulge in over-exfoliation, as instead of helping it can damage your skin, so be careful while using facial peels.
(c) Always take care to do a patch test on a small patch of your skin (e.g. behind the ear) to check how your skin would react to different ingredients.
(d) In case you have sensitive skin, glycolic acid can increase risk of sunburn for up to a week after a treatment using glycolic acid, so wear a sunscreen or a moisturizer containing SPF to save your skin from sun-damage.
